Thayabaran Kathiresan, MSc

My research interests are speaker specific features in infant directed speech (IDS) using machine learning algorithms and studying the characteristics of amplitude envelope and temporal fine structure in speech signals.

 

Currently I am a PhD student and research assistant working in a project funded by SNSF, “Acoustic Characteristics of Voice in Music and Straight Theatre, and Related Aspects of Production and Perception ” and also I am working in acoustics characteristics of the German Vowels with Prof. Dr. Dieter Maurer and Prof. Dr. Volker Dellwo.

 

I received my dual master degree (MSc) from Erasmus Mundus in Multimedia Signal Processing from KTH-Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain. I got my bachelor of engineering (BE) in electronics and communication from Anna University, India.
